Hello everyone, hope you're staying fit and well! So today we have persevered with PE with Joe (not helpful when an 8 year old keeps telling you how easy it is!). After PE today we set up an outdoor classroom, S had some tricky sums from school, C and I played a game adding up dominoes, she thrashed me at it, but had great fun doing so. After this we decorated the cakes they had made yesterday for a very special lady's birthday! (you may have seen the video) We were able to leave them on her doorstep and sing a drive-by happy birthday en route to our daily walk. For today's walk we chose the Forest Rock, the kids enjoyed rock climbing and helping each other when they got stuck up the 'mountain'. In a bid to avoid the shops I have become quite thrifty with my meals and rediscovered my love of cooking, so we cooked a joint of ham for ham, egg and chips one evening, used it in omelettes for lunch the next day, then made a fabulous (if I do say so myself!) carbonara the next day (with homemade garlic bread) ... all hammed out now though! We also ordered some plants from Derry's Nursery today, they are due to deliver them tomorrow, so hopefully we can spend the day planting in beautiful sunshine, as I'm not sure how long it will last for! Had a great video chat with friends in the evening and went out to applaud our NHS at 8pm. I didn't expect too much from our street as everyone really keeps themselves to themselves but we all went out at 8pm (kids stayed up too!) to great whoops of applause it was absolutely fantastic and very moving. Now I'm off to my bed ready for another action packed day tomorrow! Take care everyone, stay active and stay safe! Best wishes, Louise xxx

My Wednesday - Felt a little down when I woke this morning, but the sun was shining so decided to sort my sock drawer. Job done. Looked at emails and decided to do the yoga session by Paula on the SCF site. Never done it before and never thought I would but I really enjoyed it. It was gentle but I felt it, didn’t realise I was so unfit. So yoga will be part of my daily routine from now on. Thanks Paula and thanks SCF.

After 2 days of home schooling Jack..I discovered several things..I like gardening! I mowed the lawn for the first time ever in my life and didnt electrocute myself. Jacks attention span really is no longer than 10 minutes. I like wine. When im bored I eat alot of chocolate digestives without even realising. We have used chalk outside, painted a rainbow, been for a long walk each day looking for flowers. I say walk, but mean I carry Jack after 5 minutes because he just sits down in the middle of the pavement with his arms crossed. Played ball in the garden, made a sensory area with wind twirlers and mirrors, set up a little bug hotel (as far away from the house as possible). Today is my birthday and after a brisk walk to Heather to drop the children off with daddy and Granparents, a sunny stroll back. I have set up in the kitchen do some some work! I have a cupcake for later(vegan, thats all they had in the coop), prosecco in the fridge and pizza for tea, so although this year will be strange and a little lonely i am definately going to try and make the most of the time I have safe at home. Maybe even do a little Art or a jigsaw! I hope everyone is holding up ok and keeping safe and well xx
