SCF Daily Blog - Saturday 28th March

I enjoyed an early morning Saturday task today. One of my favourites.. jet washing the patio! A satisfying job, as over the past few days my neighbours have been cutting their lawns, washing cars and of course pinning up colourful rainbows in their windows! A job for tomorrow perhaps?
Study wise, I’m finally getting closer to submitting my latest assignment towards my health promotion module. This is one of the final assessments I have for this term. The subject is now very current, so I’m having to stay updated with guidelines and Public Health England’s strategy. I do look forward to switching off the news at times and having a break; something which our tutors/supervisors are encouraging! (Phew!). It’s been difficult over the past few days, due to the University and library closing. I like to be organised, and have been reading numerous books over the past few weeks! It’s fabulous to have access to medical journals and a vast online resource of current research. I have sticky notes and mind maps everywhere - I’ve borrowed a colourful sticky note surplus from my daughter; due to the cancellation of her GCSE’s!
I’ve been mindful of my fellow students at this time, especially those living away from home. The travel restrictions and uncertainty with accommodation and facilities available on campus has proved worrying for many. Everyone is pulling together and they all seem to be doing okay and adapting as best they can. It’s great we are all together, supporting each other with homeschooling, studies, work, and family duties! Please keeping touch with anything you would like to share with us!! Helen xx
