Letting nature speak: The power of the outdoors
We have probably been told many times about how nature can heal and how it can soothe us when we feel overwhelmed. In this session Marjolein will explore some of the underlying theories explaining why nature is so good for us and what it can help us with. As a group we will work out some practical ways to incorporate nature into our lives whether that be actually going out or bringing the outdoors in. Making time in our week to actively engage with nature will benefit us in more ways than we might realise.
If the weather allows it, there may be space in the session to enjoy a stroll around some of the beautiful grounds of the Manor, however, an alternative will be available should the weather be awful or the ground too muddy and for those who do not wish to go outdoors.

Reframing negative thoughts - Our negative thoughts can often feel like a bully is sitting on your shoulder. Experiencing these frequently, can lead to you feeling not good enough or not valuing yourself. Thinking positively is something that is hard to do all of the time, especially when experiencing anxiety or low mood, but reframing your negative thoughts to accurate thoughts can boost your confidence and self-worth, leading to more positive behaviours and happiness.
