Mobility Aids

The Foundation provides a selection of wheelchairs and disability aids on free indefinite loan to those in need.

These include manual wheelchairs, electric buggies and various other items. Requests for these are referred through our Outside Visiting Team who make an initial assessment as to the suitability of the available equipment, liaising where necessary with family and the relevant health professionals.

We are always looking to expand our stock. If you know of any unused wheelchairs or other items that could be donated to the Foundation, we would be delighted to re-allocate them to someone in desperate need.

The Foundation’s mobility aids are provided free of charge on indefinite loan, although a donation towards the work of the Foundation is always gratefully received.

The recipient of the item on loan is responsible for the care and maintenance of each item and in the case of wheelchairs and electric buggies, taking out suitable insurance.
